23/52 #1page1week #1p1w, SO LATE WITH THE SUBMISSION BUT SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULT! :iconexplodelaplz:
Well, from the very beginning I expected this to be a time-consuming work, but I couldn't imagine it would be SO MUCH time-consuming ^^' I need to accelerate now with the picture for the next deadline, aaaaaah!!!
Still, it turned out quite how I wanted, I didn't even have to edit anything after scanning, which actually happens very rarely. I don't mean the traditional colour correction and else: I'm about things like doing patches here and there because the sheet has been destroyed by my technique once again.
For this work I decided to try a sheet from the recently bought Clairefontaine sketchpad of the series "Paint On", for multi-techniques. By touch its paper strongly reminded me of my usual sketchbooks with equally rough but a lot thinner sheets.
Estimating paper by touch before I buy it is very important to me, as then I have an idea of its quality and of whether it can give me those "juicy" colours that I reach when I use coloured pencils.
And I must say that the "Paint On" sketchpad is an amazing thing! It turned out that rubbing the colour into its paper is a little harder, but it's barely possible to destroy. Seriously, because of the constant problem of shabby paper I recently started to try creating the sketch on one sheet and then doing the lines on another, to avoid using the eraser too much (that impacts the sheet's condition a lot). But for this work, I did the sketch and the lines on the same sheet, and I used the eraser A LOT. Still, nothing bad happened! I'm so impressed, to be honest.

But let's talk about the picture itself now.
Commissioned by the amazing MadDogVII , this scene shows us their OCs Edward and Nikolai having something like a competition in the bar, in which one
needs to bounce the coin in the table and manage to get it in the shot glass, or he drinks. Niko seems to be really pissed because he's been losing (pretty clear due to the amount of glasses around him), while Ed is like "kek".

Drawing these guys was so enjoyable I can't even! Especially Ed, because I'm simply in love with his colour palette :faint::heart:

Hope you like the result!
